Kerala Board SSLC Result – Last Year Statistics


The Kerala SSLC Result 2017 was declared in the first week of May 2018. A total of 4,58,494 students appeared in the Class 10th exam. The overall pass percentage was 95.98%.

Highlights of Kerala Board SSLC Examination 2018


  • Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 Exams for this academic year were held from March 7 to March 26.
  • Kerala SSLC Exams were conducted one day earlier than last academic year.
  • Kerala SSLC or Class 10 Exams in Kerala began on March 8 in last academic year (2017).
  • Kerala SSLC Exam 2018 results are expected to be announced in the first week of May this year (tentative).
  • The Kerala SSLC Examinations were held in the afternoon shifts– from 1:45 pm to 3:30 pm and 1:45 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • Approximately 4.60 lakh students participated in the examinations.

The Kerala Board of Secondary Education came up with Kerala Board of Public Examinations in 1965, to regulate and supervise the system of intermediate and higher education in the state of Kerala and to specify the courses of study and matters connected with students. It's mandated to "Reach The Unreached" in terms of education & skill in Kerala through private and regular mode, in the State with a special focus on marginalised socio-economic and religious sections. As a government body, in the field of school education, it develops its own content and books, imparts education, corresponding to all levels of a formal school system, i.e. from Class I To Class XII. The SSLC exam in Kerala was conducted between 7th March 2018 and 28th March 2018 this year. Over 4.4 lakh students from 3046 schools appeared for the exam. The gender-wise division of the students who registered to appear for the exam is given in the table below. A total of 1300 students appeared for the exam in Gulf countries and Laksha dweep.
