Eligibility Criteria for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2020

Educational Qualification

Aspirants should pass the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Age Limit

• Stenographer Grade C: 18 to 30 years
• Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years

Selection Process

SSC Steno selection will be based on the Computer Based Examination & Skill Test.

Salary :

The PayScale for Stenographer C in 6th CPC was 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of 4200. The corresponding starting pay in 7 CPC Pay Matrix is 35400 plus allowances.
The 6 CPC Pay Scale for Steno D was 5200–20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 in Pay Band 1. In the corresponding Pay Matrix of 7 CPC, the starting is 25500 with an Annual Increment of 3% plus DA as prevailing.
Annual Increment is 3% which in 7 CPC has become subject to performance assessment.
The total emoluments will be approximately 45K and 35K for these two grades respectively.

• SC/ST, PWD, PwD, Ex-servicemen and women candidates: Nil
• Other candidates: Rs 100
